The newest update is Update 1/2/09 | Happy New Year.

I got an email from Bonnie, Todd and Shawn who went to see Dan and sent me some great pics of all of them...

"We were in to see Dan this past Sunday the 19th and I took some photos of him with my Todd and Shawn, me and Jackie. I think he is doing amazingly well and I am always so proud of him and his progress each time I talk to him on the phone. I live in the northwest Chicago suburbs and most definitely do not get to see them as often as I would like. Thanks for you journals each time you visit. They really keep everyone up-to-date. He says he will be back in Chicago in a year, and knowing his determination, I believe him. My hope is to one day sit in an audience and watch him back on the stage. I love him and Jackie so much and his "family of friends" have been so wonderful.

I know you know how special he is and I feel the same way. I just wanted to give you a short story to let you that as busy as he always was, he called to wish me Happy Mother's Day a month before he was shot. It was so heartwarming to me that out of all the people he knows, he took time from his busy schedule to call me, it is a memory that I will keep forever. I miss the phone calls where we could just chat about everything for an hour at a time, I know we will do that again.

Take care,
Bonnie"

I spent another weekend with Dan... so I wrote up another journal of the trip... hope you enjoy.
